Jake Trbojevic is in line for a shock Test debut after being drafted into the Kangaroos’ squad for the injured Josh Papalii and the Manly forward can hardly accept is as true.
Canberra’s Papalii was ruled out of Saturday’s Test against New Zealand in Perth and Australia’s Four Nations campaign due to a building ankle injury.
With Wests Tigers forward Aaron Woods absent due to his bridal, Trbojevic could make his worldwide debut against the Kiwis at nib Stadium after being brought in on Thursday into the Australian squad.
So startled was Trbojevic to earn the call up that he postponed knee surgery to join the squad.
